A Beautiful Struggle

Composed by Melanie Bradley

(Verse 1)
The morning’s light, it feels so far away,
A quiet, heavy fog has rolled in to stay.
And every little step feels like a mountain high,
Beneath the lonely, unforgiving sky.
I know the silence whispers, “You’re not strong,”
And that the world is moving, while you just feel wrong.
But my heart can hear you, in that weary, tender place,
And I’m here to say, there’s beauty in this space.

(Chorus)
Oh, life’s a beautiful struggle, it’s a bittersweet, soft song,
With shadows in the corners, where we just don’t feel we belong.
But hold on to the good parts, with a hand that’s warm and bright,
‘Cause I promise you, my darling, it’s all gonna be alright.
It’s all gonna be okay, the sun will find its way,
Just stay right here beside me, and we’ll fight another day.

(Verse 2)
The world is full of flowers, that fight their way to bloom,
Through broken ground and darkness, in a heavy, quiet room.
I see the strength within you, like a whisper in the stone,
A quiet, brave endurance, that you have always known.
And every little tear you cry, is a river that must run,
To wash away the sadness, and find a brand new sun.
So let’s just find a moment, in the gentle, falling rain,
And see the silver lining, and feel the love again.

(Bridge)
You don’t have to be perfect, you don’t have to be strong,
Just be right where you are, and know that nothing’s wrong.
There’s beauty in the broken, and strength in every scar,
And you are loved, no matter how near or how far.

(Outro)
Yes, you are loved…
And I will hold you…
And it’s all gonna be alright…
It’s all gonna be alright.
