Tree’s Valentine’s Vision

The sun filtered through the window in soft, golden slats, warming the plush rug where Tree, a handsome Russian Blue with fur the color of morning mist, stretched his long limbs. His emerald-green eyes were bright and thoughtful as he watched the house come alive. There was a different energy in the air this week—a sweetness that smelled like fresh roses and felt like the softest wool.

Tree knew that Valentine’s Day was approaching. To the humans, it was a day of cards and chocolates, but to Tree, it was a season for extra-long head bumps and steady, rhythmic purring.

He hopped onto the sofa, his silver-tipped coat shimmering in the light. He found his favorite person and let out a quiet, melodic chirp. It wasn’t just a greeting; it was an invitation. As he leaned his weight against them, he felt the familiar hand begin to scratch that perfect spot right behind his ears.

Tree closed his eyes, his motor starting up—a deep, resonant vibration that seemed to say, “I am here, and you are mine.”

Throughout the afternoon, Tree played the role of a silent, loving guardian. When the house grew quiet, he would trot into the room, his green eyes glowing with affection, making sure no one felt alone. He didn’t need words to express his devotion. He expressed it by gently batting at a stray piece of yarn, by “making biscuits” on a soft blanket, and by curling into a perfect silver crescent at the foot of the bed.

As the evening sky turned a deep violet, Tree sat on the windowsill, looking out at the stars. He knew that love wasn’t just about one big day in February. For a cat like him, love was found in the quiet moments: the shared naps, the slow blinks across the room, and the steady heartbeat of a home that cherished him just as much as he cherished them.

With one last contented sigh, Tree jumped down, ready to find his spot and dream of the treats and cuddles the coming holiday would surely bring.

This is the begining of Tree’s Valentine stories and there will be more to come.
