The Free Egg Movement

In a cozy little town nestled between rolling green hills, there lived a delightfully dapper cat named Tree. A handsome Russian Blue with striking emerald eyes that sparkled like jewels under the sun, Tree was known for his playful spirit and knack for making everyone smile. As Easter approached, excitement buzzed in the air like a bee flitting from flower to flower.

Tree had big plans for the holiday this year. He wanted to host the most memorable Easter celebration ever! To kick things off, he enlisted the help of his best friend, Shimmers, a quirky goldfinch with feathers as bright as the morning sun. Together, they transformed Tree’s cozy nook into a vibrant workshop filled with colorful paints, brushes, and stacks of plain white eggs, just waiting to be adorned.

“Knock, knock!” Tree called out, his voice playful and inviting as he dipped a brush into a pot of shimmering blue paint.

“Who’s there?” Shimmers chirped, eager for a good laugh.

“Lettuce!”

“Lettuce who?”

“Lettuce celebrate Easter together!”

Shimmers burst into a flurry of giggles, her little heart soaring with joy. As Tree painted intricate designs on the eggs, he couldn’t resist telling more knock-knock jokes. Each punchline sent ripples of laughter echoing through their sunny workspace, transforming ordinary eggs into joyful symbols of the season.

After hours of decorating, a brilliant idea hatched in Tree’s mind. “What’s better than colorful eggs? Free eggs!” he declared, his green eyes gleaming with determination. “Why should anyone pay for something that comes so freely from our lovely hens?”

With Shimmers by his side, Tree marched toward the nearby coop where a flock of plump hens clucked happily. With gentle grace, he crouched down and began to collect the freshly laid eggs, cradling them in his soft paws. “From now on,” he announced to the hens, “Tree’s eggs are free for all! No more charging!”

The hens, perplexed at first, soon joined Tree’s exuberance. They clucked in agreement, fluffing their feathers in delight at the idea of sharing their bounty with everyone. And so, the Great Egg Gathering began.

Tree and Shimmers set up a cheerful stand right in the heart of the village square. Colorful banners fluttered overhead, proclaiming, “EGGS ARE FREE! TAKE SOME!” Villagers, drawn in by the vibrant colors and Tree’s infectious energy, gathered around in curiosity.

“What’s this?” asked Mr. Troy, the local baker, scratching his head.

“It’s a free egg giveaway!” Tree exclaimed, waving an egg in the air. “No charge! Just take one and enjoy!”

At first, some were skeptical. “But how can you give away eggs for free? What’s the catch?” asked a wary farmer.

“There’s no catch!” Tree reassured him, his green eyes shining with sincerity. “Eggs are a gift from our hardworking hens. Why should we charge when we can share?”

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the square, laughter and chatter filled the air. Children squealed with delight as they decorated their newfound treasures, while adults shared stories of past Easter celebrations. The community came together, united by a simple act of kindness.

And so, the Free Egg Movement blossomed. Each year, at Easter, Tree and Shimmers continued their tradition, spreading joy and goodwill, reminding everyone that the best gifts in life often come without a price tag—just like friendship, laughter, and the joy of giving.
