Tips to Consider When Placing Your Vote for President …

Man, it’s almost that time again …I’m sure you know what time I am talking about …the time when friends turn into enemies …the time where a president is chosen for the United States of America. I’m all for choosing a president, let’s go! But let’s do so from an educated mind and to gain that educated mind, it is going to take some research. I am going to give you some tips to consider when placing your vote for president …

  1. Research Candidates: Take the time to research each candidate running for president, read everything and make sure you get your research from a reputable resource. I know, I like YouTube too, it’s a great site, lots of good music and funny stuff, but  come on, YouTube is not where you find the cold hard facts. When deciding who to vote for, look into the candidates’ backgrounds, qualifications, experience, policies, and track records. Consider where they stand on issues that are important to you, such as healthcare, education, the economy, foreign policy, climate change, etc …you know, the important things.
  1. Evaluate Platforms: Review each candidate’s official platform or agenda. This outlines their proposed policies and plans if elected. Compare and contrast these platforms to understand how each candidate plans to address key issues.
  1. Consider Leadership Qualities: Reflect on the leadership qualities you value in a president. This might include traits such as integrity, empathy, decisiveness, ability to work with others, and a vision for the country’s future.
  1. Attend Debates and Forums: Watch or attend presidential debates and forums. These events provide opportunities to hear candidates discuss their views, defend their positions, and respond to questions from moderators and voters.
  1. Fact-Check Information: Verify the accuracy of information you come across regarding candidates and their platforms. Misinformation and biased sources can skew perceptions.
  1. Consult Reliable Sources: Seek information from reliable and non-partisan sources, such as reputable news outlets, fact-checking organizations, and candidate websites.
  1. Consider Down-Ballot Races: In addition to the presidential race, research candidates running for other offices on your ballot, such as senators, representatives, governors, and local officials. These races can also have significant impacts on your community and the country.
  1. Evaluate Voting Records: If applicable, examine the voting records and past actions of incumbent candidates who are seeking reelection. This can provide insights into their legislative priorities and performance.
  1. Discuss with Others: Engage in discussions with friends, family members, and colleagues about their perspectives on the candidates and issues. Hearing different viewpoints can broaden your understanding and help you make a more informed decision.
  1. Trust Your Judgment: Ultimately, trust your judgment when deciding which candidate aligns best with your values, priorities, and vision for the country’s future.

Remember, voting is a personal decision, and it’s important to approach it thoughtfully and responsibly. Your vote can have a significant impact, so take the time to educate yourself and participate in the process.

So, who are we going to vote for? Is it going to be Trump or is it going to be the next man (or women) standing? If you feel the desire to spread the word about your candidate, feel free to post it in the comment section below, I do not judge anyone by their political opinions, but remember to respect others and don’t be rude.
