Reasons to Adopt from an Animal Shelter …
In life, we all want happiness, right? In my opinion, happiness can be received from an animal. You know, a cat or a dog – you can find both cats and dogs a your local animal shelter. I found the best dog I ever met at the Cay County Animal Shelter. If you want an animal, instead of going out and buying one, you can pay a visit to your local animal shelter.
The Animal Deserves a Home
Every animal deserves to have a home. When a person drops them off in the pound, they don’t seem to think that the animal could be euthanized. I know it’s sad to think that, but so many great dogs and cats are put to sleep yearly at animal shelters.
You’re Saving More Than One Animal
Okay, I know, you’re only adopting one, but just by adopting one animal, you’re saving another animal. You see, when you adopt one dog, you’re making room for another dog.
They Give Unconditional Love
Don’e believe me? Go adopt a dog, and see what I mean. From my experience, every dog I have adopted from the shelter has given me unconditional love. I have adopted all of my dogs from the local animal shelter, and they were all good dogs. The last dog I adopted from the Clay County Humane Society was the best dog I ever had. His name was Troy while at the shelter, but I named him Chester. The picture in this heading is Chester. Chester Troy was an amazing dog but he was a rescue only and was on the kill list. Either way, there is no other dog that will live up to him, but I will continue doing my part in helping others know that adopting a dog from the shelter might be one of the best things in their life.
Give an Animal a Second Chance
When you adopt a dog from the shelter, you are giving them a second chance to liver outside those prison walls – a second chance in life. Animals deserve those second chances.
You’ll Have Someone New to Shop for
When you adopt a pet from the animal shelter, you will have someone else you can shop for. I used to love buying my dog new toys ever month. Okay, every week …fine, every day. I loved buying Chester new stuff, and he enjoyed getting new toys. During the Christmas months, he had his own set of presents under the tree to open.
Fighting Against Cruel Breeding Facilities
Most of the animals at the pet store more than likely come from cruel breeding facilities where they confined the animal in a small, dirty space and they barely get any vet care. When you adopt from the animal shelter, you awe not only giving back to your community, and not giving money to a breeder. Just Say No To Giving Breeders Profit!
